FttH systems

FTTH (Fiber to the Home) systems are the foundation of modern broadband networks, providing a direct optical connection between the service provider and the end user. Such networks enable outstanding bandwidth, low latency and extremely stable data transmission, making them an ideal solution to meet growing digital needs.

Solutions in this category offer advanced, carrier-grade platforms for GPON and next-generation PON technologies. These systems enable centralized management of optical networks, efficient service to users, and fast and flexible deployment of services. One of the most important advantages of FTTH infrastructure is future-proofing, as optical networks can be scaled virtually unlimitedly to meet growing bandwidth needs. PON-based solutions are built on passive elements, ensuring energy-efficient operation while minimizing operating costs.

Modern PON OLT systems on FttH network

Modern PON OLT (Optical Line Terminal) systems are the central elements of modern FTTH networks, which enable the provision of high-capacity, multi-gigabit optical access services to end users. These devices ensure the connection between the service provider’s core network and the ONTs operating on the subscriber side, while also supporting GPON, XGS‑PON and future PON technologies.

The solutions in this category offer an extremely flexible and scalable architecture. The modular structure enables the gradual expansion of the network and the dynamic adjustment of capacity to subscriber needs.
The system also includes advanced optical components that ensure long-distance, stable optical signal transmission over several wavelengths. These devices are especially important for large-scale FTTH networks, where maintaining signal quality is critical. Modern OLT infrastructures also include integrated SDN management and vBNG (virtualized Broadband Network Gateway) solutions, which enable centralized, software-based control and automation of the network. This significantly reduces operating costs, while increasing service flexibility and speed-to-market. ONT devices and the optical accessories connected to them form a complete ecosystem that enables the efficient and reliable provision of end-point services – Internet, IPTV/OTT and VoIP – within a single network.

GPON / XGSPON HGW subscriber devices (FttH CPE)

The category includes devices that provide access to optical network services directly at the subscriber site. These devices play a key role in the FTTH infrastructure, as they integrate access to Internet, telephone and wireless services in a single device. Devices in this category provide high-speed optical connectivity in subscriber homes, while also enabling advanced router functions, Wi-Fi access, even extensive WiFi networks, and central and subscriber management of wireless devices (Plume).

XGS-PON technology provides up to multi-gigabit speeds, making it an ideal solution for future applications with high bandwidth requirements. Advanced wireless devices enable the implementation of state-of-the-art wireless IP television (detailed in IPTV/OTT solutions)

Video Overlay on FttH network

The category includes solutions that enable the transmission of traditional RF-based television (DVB-C/analog) services over an optical network. With the help of the so-called RF Overlay technology, the video content is transmitted on a separate wavelength (typically 1550 nm), thus ensuring the availability of broadcast television independently of multicast IPTV/OTT services. The devices in the category provide high-performance, stable RF-over-fiber transmission over long distances. These devices typically operate with EDFA (Erbium-doped fiber amplifier)
